We are Paul and Katie McPherson, a husband and wife photography and videography team. We live in a small town in the four corners, it's a little bit of desert with a view of the Rockies up the road. We thrive on loving our three beautiful children and keeping up with our family. We treasure having access to such diverse terrain and thrive on adventuring throughout it.
We have a love for travel and adventure paired with great food and comfy beds. We enjoy music, Hulu and movies, especially cozied up with a bowl of ice cream on the couch together. We’re goofy and a little cheesy. We love each other deeply and aren’t afraid to show it. You might catch us making out on the sidelines or in passing during a wedding. We’re affectionate and we’re not afraid to show it. I think because we’re so comfortable that way, we have a knack for helping people get affectionately comfortable in front of the camera.
How loudly can I sing praises for Paul and Katie of Shutterfreek! Their creativity, genuine care, thoughtful attention to detail, excitement and talent is unmatched. I grew up in the Four Corners/Durango area and I knew that we needed local creatives to help us capture our perfect day in the most memorable and authentic way. Shutterfreek provided us with flexibility and clear expectations for our morning ceremony and brunch reception. They joined us at our airbnb and condos at 7:00am and dedicated their entire contracted time to making sure every little detail was captured. Katie's soft, sweet demeanor was so calming during the busyness of getting ready and Paul asked emotion eliciting questions to help capture the raw beauty of our love on our wedding day. -Samantha & Samuel
