The Town of Silverton's venue, Kendall Mountain Recreation Area, offers couples a wedding setting defined by some of Colorado’s most striking mountain views, without the price tag often associated with high-country venues. Set at the base of Kendall Mountain and just steps from Silverton’s historic downtown, the venue combines convenience, natural beauty, and a practical approach to hosting events.
This lodge-style event space, with a capacity of 199 guests, operates year-round and provides a clean, versatile backdrop for ceremonies and receptions. Outdoor ceremony locations around the mountain offer panoramic alpine scenery that makes Silverton one of the most picturesque places to get married in the entire state. The setting speaks for itself.
In addition to Kendall Mountain, Silverton offers a range of other spaces for welcome dinners, rehearsal dinners, receptions, and alternate ceremony sites throughout town and even 10 minutes outside of town at Molas Lake. These options make it easy to build a full wedding weekend while staying within budget, all while giving your guests a genuine high-mountain experience.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, authentic Colorado setting that remains accessible and affordable, Kendall Mountain Recreation Area and the town of Silverton offer exactly that.
Kendall Mountain Community Center was basically a blank slate so it allowed us to completely customize the day. From selecting our vendors, to shopping for all of our table décor, to deciding the setup and flow for the space, we were able to personalize every aspect. Plus, the mountain views are amazing! -Jacqueline

A Fall Wedding in Silverton
Our inspiration was the beauty of fall in the mountains. It is definitely our favorite season with the warm sunny days and cool nights, and the changing of the aspen leaves to glowing gold. We wanted to bring that feeling into our wedding day while complementing the mountain lodge architecture of our venue, and keeping in mind Silverton’s Victorian/mining history.
