A Summer Destination Wedding in Silverton

Jennifer & Aaron | June 14th

From the bride: Aaron and I met at Fort Lewis College. After a 4th of July camping trip to Silverton we began dating. Since we lived in Durango at that time, we would use Silverton as our weekend spot where we camped, hiked, 4 wheeled, and snowmobiled. We decided to celebrate our wedding in the location where we fell in love, Silverton.

THE WEDDING STYLE

We wanted an eclectic antique meets mountain rustic chic wedding with unique items such as mismatched antique candles and vases, old books, wood, and lace.

THE CEREMONY

We held our ceremony in the meadow at the Kendall Mountain Community Center. It was a perfect day, not a cloud in the sky. I wanted the beautiful scenery to be on display during the ceremony. We had flowers lining the aisle and an aspen arbor covered in flowers. The ceremony was short and sweet.

THE FAVORS

Our thank you gifts were small bottles of homemade wine my parents made with custom labels.

ADVICE

Don’t stress, you can’t make everyone happy, so just have your wedding the way you want to.
