A Simple Wedding at Cascade Village

From the bride, Kelsey: We live in Farmington, but wanted to get married in the beautiful mountains. Not only is it beautiful in Durango, it’s the perfect place to spend a long weekend with friends & family and get married.

Our decor was minimal rustic with greenery and pops of wine and blush flowers.

It rained so we had to move the ceremony inside Cascade Village. We were surrounded by big open windows with a magnificent view of the mountains.  It was very intimate and relaxed and just perfect.

The reception felt like it went so FAST!

Advice

Don’t let things get between you and your loved ones when planning. It may be stressful, but it is only as stressful as you make it. Also, don’t wait until the last minute on things that could have been done early, there are already a lot of things that have to be done at the last minute.

The Wedding Team

Venue & Lodging: Cascade Village.  The staff was very easy going and easy to work with. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner there as well and had Friday and Saturday to set up and Sunday morning to get everything out.

Photographer: Tara Vigil Photography.
