Romance at Blue Lake Ranch
Taylor & Remy
From Taylor…
We had a small, intimate wedding with 20 people in attendance. Being that all of our guests stayed at Blue Lake Ranch, we got to spend the entire weekend with all of them.
WHY DURANGO
Durango has always been our favorite mountain escape—a true home away from home. We’ve made countless memories here, and it has become, and will always remain, a cornerstone of our relationship.
THE VENUE
Blue Lake Ranch was the only venue that made us feel truly special. From the moment we toured the property, we fell in love. The staff made us feel welcomed, cared for, and like part of their family. We also loved the idea of having all our guests stay at the Bed and Breakfast with us for the entire weekend.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony itself was beautiful. We exchanged vows in front of the lake beneath a stunning Chuppah. Following the ceremony, we enjoyed a cocktail hour featuring a gorgeous charcuterie board.
For dinner, we all sat at one long farm table, which made it so special to have all our guests with us. We spent the evening chatting, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company, and yet the night seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye.
LOCAL VENDOR TEAM
Venue & Lodging: Blue Lake Ranch
Event Planner: Joan Alford. Joan took care of almost every thing. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted our wedding day to look like, but Joan listened to everything we had to say and helped us create a beautiful wedding. Both of us couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. It felt like us.
Officiant: Benjie Danquah. Benjie made our wedding ceremony so personal and memorable. He was so kind and tailored his approach based off of the energy of our guests and ceremony. All of our guests raved about him. We cannot recommend him enough.
