Living Coral: Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year

Pantone describes the 2019 color of the year as an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. A vibrant, yet mellow effervescent color that mesmerizes the eye and mind. At first glance, I was not sure how this bright beachy color would fit into an organic mountain palette, but after watching a spectacular alpenglow sunset one evening, I realized living coral was one of many colors that lit up the mountaintops. I also remembered featuring a Telluride wedding in the magazine a few years ago where the bridesmaids wore dresses that mimicked the colors of the alpenglow sunset (pictured below). Sure enough, living coral is one of the colors in this sunset-inspired palette. I am starting to love this fun & flirty color and can’t wait to see pops of living coral in mountain weddings this season.

XOXO,

Debbie
