A Whirlwind of Laughter & Love

From the couple…
THE PLANNING
We attended the Durango Wedding Expo and ended up hiring our bartenders, DJ, painter, and venue after meeting them there. It also helped us decide what we wanted—and didn’t want—at our wedding.
THE VENUE
We looked at a lot of different venues, but Ridgewood Event Center felt like us. It was cozy and homey.
THE CEREMONY
It was a pretty windy day, and when I got to the end of the aisle, I was trying to wrangle my veil. Someone in the crowd yelled, ‘Switch sides!’ hahaha. So we shuffled around and switched to the opposite sides.
SPECIAL TOUCH
On each table we had a succulent from my dad’s garden in California.
Our wedding day was a whirlwind of laughter and love. Celebrating such a special day with the friends and family who mean the most to us is something I’ll never forget. The day was absolutely perfect.
ADVICE
When planning your wedding, take it step by step. It can feel overwhelming when you look at everything that needs to be done all at once. I’m a worrier, so I did all my stressing beforehand. On the day of, I accepted that I had done everything I could—and just let myself enjoy the day.
