A Simple & Intimate Mountain Ceremony

Cassie & Ryan  |  August 3rd

From the bride…

I always envisioned a mountain backdrop for my wedding. I also wanted it to be an intimate, low-key event celebrating with the people I loved most.

THE VENUE

We chose a beautiful wooded outdoor site at Purgatory Ski Resort. This incorporated the mountain backdrop and provided convenient access for our families.

THE VOWS

The ceremony site was a peaceful aspen and evergreen grove at Purgatory Ski Resort. We opted for no additional décor, just the natural beauty. It was a quiet, intimate location for a perfect ceremony.

When I arrived at the alter, our officiant joked about how quickly I walked down the aisle. I can’t walk anywhere slowly!

THE RECEPTION

We returned to our Air BnB with our families for dinner catered by Zia Taqueria. Music was playing from a playlist I had prepared. We ate and drank together as a newly joined family. There was no pressure to be the center of attention, and we just enjoyed one another’s company.

ADVICE

This is YOUR day; include the personalized details that make it YOUR wedding, and don’t sacrifice them to make someone else happy.
