A Romantic Country Chic Wedding
From the bride, Carrie: My favorite things and my family were my inspiration for our wedding. I wanted romantic country chic with a navy blue, mint green, and light coral color palette. I brought in furniture and items that belonged to special people in my life like my mother, grandmother, and great grandmothers.
I made the centerpieces, all of the signs, a kid’s table and candy table and the jam party favors. We had my great grandmother’s dresser as a guest book and gift table and my great grandmother’s hutch as a favor table. The guest tables had burlap table cloths, white lanterns, and assorted decorative bottles with flowers in them.
My advice: Make sure that the wedding and all of the details are what you want. Have fun with DIY and don’t worry about the small stuff. Let your family be involved if they want to be, they might appreciate you thinking of them. If you hire a wedding planner, let the planner do the whole wedding. Don’t do part DIY and part wedding planner.
