A Fun Celebration
From the bride, Aspen: Our wedding was very elegant and upbeat with a light pink, silver, and white color palette. Manny and I created and designed everything ourselves.
The ceremony was very sweet, short, and simple. Our Yorkie was the ring bearer with a tuxedo, which was adorable. My cousin married us and we signed our marriage certificate as part of our ceremony, which I think is a great idea so you do it all together.
My favorite part and the highlight of our wedding was a baby deer that showed up to enjoy the day with all of our guests! I lost my dad in December 2013 unexpectedly, which of course was so heartbreaking that he physically couldn’t be at the wedding. I was talking with our family and the deer walked up to me. When I looked at the deer he had the bluest eyes, which reminded me of my father. I knelt down and stuck my hand out to the deer. I had my dog, Alvin, in my hand and the deer just stared at both of us wagging his tail. I have never seen a deer be so docile and loving.
During the toasts, this beautiful deer comes strolling into our tent walking inside checking everything out. Throughout the night the deer mingled with everyone and almost every guest got to pet the deer. A couple of days after the wedding I found out that the deer was not a pet of Fox Fire Farms, in fact, no one had seen the deer until our wedding day and it hadn’t left since.
My Advice: You have to do it all together. It will mean so much more in the end! I would definitely recommend a band and DJ at a wedding. Gives the reception great flavor!
