A Cowboy Garden Wedding
From the bride, Janelle:
Our wedding inspiration was my mother’s gorgeous garden – I had always dreamed of getting married in her garden. We had a flowers spilling from hanging baskets, pots and moss baskets in a variety of colors. My mom kept coming up with ideas of what to plant. She was really excited and couldn’t stop herself and before we knew it, we had a couple hundred flower pots around the property!
PERSONAL TOUCHES
-Fifty pots containing dark purple, lavender and white flowers lined the aisle creating a breathtaking path to the altar.
-The groomsmen wore 6 shooter pistols at their hip and they fired them off when we kissed after saying I DO.
-We had our longhaired Dachshund (Skeeter) as our ring bearer, although he was more interested in sniffing all the flowers than delivering the rings, so we had to coax him down the aisle with a dog treat.
-My grandmother gave me the earrings my grandfather had given her on their wedding day.
MEMORABLE MOMENT
The breaker tripped, shutting off the power to the reception during the end of our first dance (“Forever and Ever Amen” by Randy Travis.), so we finished our dance to the crowd singing and the only music was the drummer.
Photographer: Cardwell Aukerman Photography. Carol was amazing and on top of things the day of the wedding. She took AMAZING photos and is so warm and friendly while still controlling the situation to make sure you are being taken care of. PERFECT! I cannot believe how GREAT the photos turned out.
