A Country Wedding
From the bride, Michelle: Travis & I were raised in the country and around hunting so we wanted an outdoor country wedding with camo flair.
The most memorable moment for me was walking around the last row of chairs and starting down the aisle with my dad. Once I saw Travis, I stopped shaking and I could breathe.
We got down the aisle and as my dad gave my hand to Travis I saw tears in Travis’ eyes! That is an image that will always stick with me since Travis is not very emotional and he told me time and time again that he would not cry.
Our ceremony was short and sweet. The actual ceremony maybe lasted three minutes.
The reception was a down-home country party with our closest family and friends. Everything was perfect; the food, the band, the décor, and our cake. We would not have changed one thing about the reception.
Travis and I danced to “God Gave Me You” by Blake Shelton. We have danced together a million times, but this one was by far the best dance we have ever danced together. It was like nobody was there except him and I, it was magical!
I danced with my dad to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, and it was definitely a tear jerker. I had to keep a conversation going with my dad so I didn’t start bawling! At the end of the song, that was no longer an option. He gave me a hug and the tears started flowing.
My advice: Enjoy EVERY minute of it! It flies by! I never believed this when people would tell me that and it definitely is true. I was so bummed by how fast our wedding day went by!
