They chose to marry at Purgatory Resort because they wanted to share the vast beauty of Durango with family and because they grew up snowboarding at Purgatory together, so it was very sentimental. So sentimental, that when the 416 Fire shut down the resort 3 weeks before their original wedding date (07/07/18), they postponed the wedding instead of changing the venue.
