Mountaintop Engagement Photos in Silverton

From the photographer, Amy Bluestar Photography: Whitney and Josiah’s story is what dreams are made of, high school friends turned into sweethearts. The two met in biology class while attending high school in their hometown of Anchorage, Alaska. It wasn’t until a year later when Whitney reached out over social media that the two started chatting and began dating shortly after. Four and a half years later, the two have been inseparable, even attending college out of state together in Colorado.

Mountaintop Engagement Photos in Silverton, Colorado

This past New Years when the couple was visiting their families in Alaska, Josiah found the perfect moment to surprise Whitney and on New Year’s Eve in front of all of their close family and friends, Josiah got down on one knee and asked Whitney for her hand in marriage. Of course she said yes, she couldn’t have been more happy with the way he proposed.

We drove up to Molas Pass to take the couples engagement photos. The session was filled with wind-blown hair, laughter, snow-capped mountains and SO much love.
