Perfect Paisley at Silver Mountain Guest Ranch

Photography by Kyla Jackson Photography

From the bride, Kerry:
Our wedding was held at Silver Mountain Guest Ranch. The ceremony was short and sweet just like we wanted, but long enough for a bridal party of twenty to get down the aisle. The lighting was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day or place, especially with the pond in the background and Silver Mountain shadowing our day.
Our reception was held on the ranch in the large, log awning which was absolutely beautiful and housed a wonderful dinner as well as a great dance floor.  We danced our first dance to “I Do” by Mark Wills, then our band tore it up as guests had their share of great country dancing.
We made our centerpieces, on top of bandanna wrapped posts, with the help of my family! We also mixed up the table décor by alternating brown tablecloths with blue runners and vice versa as well as using
different table sizes. Some tables were tall cabarets and others were large eight seaters.

MEMORABLE MOMENT
My three older sisters put on a hilarious dance skit.

LOOKING BACK
I wished we would have hired a “day of” planner just to keep things on track.

An Autumn Romance

Photography by Allison Ragsdale Photography

From the bride, Amber:
Our inspiration was Fall in the country.  Our color palette was chocolate brown, ivory, green and yellow. I tried very hard to personalize every aspect of my wedding by having lots of handmade items.  This not only cut down on costs, but also included family and created a wonderful personal feel for our special day.  For example, my aunt handmade every single escort card; each card had green and brown papers with a twig and ribbon.

Our wedding took place at Ridgewood Event Center.  The location was absolutely perfect; it had a barn-like building for our fall theme and a breathtaking view. Our outdoor ceremony was amazing; we were even fortunate enough to have the first snow of the season on the La Plata’s!
We had the first few dances outside on the lawn at dusk.  Our song was “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliat.

FAVORITE DETAIL
My ‘something blue’  was a small blue heart that my mom sewed on the inside of my dress. It had a special message for me on it.

Saying “I Do” at Andrews Lake

Photography by Kyla Jackson Photography

From the bride, Melanie:
We held a small and intimate wedding ceremony at Andrews Lake on Molas Pass surrounded by the beauty of the mountains overlooking the lake. Our wedding party was our dog Brewster as the ring bearer and his sister Dallas as the flower girl. The intimacy and personalization of the ceremony itself was very important to us. There were so many moments when I had to close my eyes to focus on the moment and the tremendous feelings that were overwhelming me. Something else very special to us was all the wildlife we were greeted by during and after our wedding ceremony. In the middle of our vows, an osprey flew overhead squawking for attention. It was a precious moment. Also, as were walking down a path to take more photos, a chipmunk came out to greet us. Finally, on the way back to the car, we turned to find three ducks in tow. How perfect!

MEMORABLE MOMENT when Chris read me his vows that he had written, I cried and wanted to kiss him right then and there; everyone laughed when I almost did and had to back away.

All of our vendors were so amazing that I could never give them a high enough rating or say enough positive things about them. They made everything perfect and we were so lucky to meet such wonderful people. The people and vendors of Durango made our dream wedding come true and there is no amount of planning you could ever do to make this happen. Thank you Durango!!
