From the bride, Clorinda:
We wanted to make our wedding an adventure by combining both our love of the outdoors and our love to hit the road and travel.  We also wanted an intimate experience with just the two of us.  So we planned a fun and adventurous destination elopement.  We decided on a 10-day road trip across the Four Corners region.  At the end of our adventure, we planned to tie-the-knot in Durango, Colorado.

HONEYMOON IN REVERSE
We flew from our hometown of Boston, MA to Albuquerque, NM and embarked on our wedding adventure, exploring the national parks and sites across New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.   Our last stop was Willowtail Springs, a family-owned inn tucked away in the mountains just outside Durango, where we would say “I Do.”

THE DAY

We walked around the Willowtail Springs property, found the perfect spot on the dock, surrounded by water and overlooking the mountains, to say our vows.  After a simple, yet sweet ceremony led by Chessa Gill, we jumped into a canoe, relaxed on the lake and enjoyed each other’s company as we sipped champagne.  It was both invigorating and relaxing!

RECOMMENDED VENDORS
Photographer: IlluminArts Photography.  Drew & Candice were very helpful and created a unique experience for us. They actually jumped into a canoe and rowed to the middle of the lake to capture the perfect images.

Ceremony/Lodging: Willowtail Springs.  Inn keepers Peggy & Lee Cloy have a property with a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere and lots of interesting artistic touches.  We truly enjoyed our stay.
